As most of you have probably seen on my twitter or facebook page, my husband and I went to Colorado to visit family this past week. We had SUCH a wonderful time! I’ll be doing a much bigger blog post later but I wanted to get a photo up first and make a couple of announcements. First I will not be doing any Rock On Photographer installations until after the first of the year. I am going to take a little break and regroup because next year is going to be a busy year. Second I was invited to be a vendor at a wedding show for the Metro Club in Willis Tower, previously known as the Sears Tower, on January 23rd from 2pm-6pm so if you’re a bride in Chicago or you know a bride in Chicago please encourage them to come to the show! It’s a very formal cocktail party style show. The address is 233 S. Wacker Drive. Pre-registration is going on now and is $10, it’s $15 at the door and children 12 and under get in free.
Lastly, I was recently selected to be in the running for an amazing award of Photographer of the Year for Photobiz. My photo from my Chicago project was featured in the Schmap Chicago Guide! Yay! This is really exciting because this is the first photograph of mine to be featured in anything. It isn’t necessarily an award, but it is great to be recognized!
We are announcing our first annual free wedding photography services give away! Jen Shannon Photography is offering free wedding photography services to a couple on their wedding day. To apply, visit our website listed below and use the “Contact Us” form or send us an email at info@starlightartanddesign.com telling us why you cannot afford a wedding photographer. This contest is not for brides who have exceeded their wedding budget and cannot afford to pay a photographer but for brides who cannot afford our prices. To qualify, the wedding day must take place between June 1, 2009 and August 15, 2009 and be held within 20 miles of zip 60433. The ceremony and reception must be on the same day. Any events already scheduled for your wedding day will be declined. You will get our basic photography package of 6 hours on your wedding day, two photographers, a website that you customize, light photograph editing and a DVD of all edited images for you to keep which includes the rights to reproduce the images. You are responsible for any prints, albums, or special items that you order through us. Client must sign our standard contract which includes Jen Shannon Photography holding all rights to the photographs for portfolio and advertising usage. Deadline for applications is May 15, 2009.
