Jeff and Jessica’s E-session! May 23, 2009

What can I say? I am the most blessed photographer ever! Jeff and Jessica were the best couple I could have ever asked for to be my first solo E-session. I met Jessica last summer when my oldest dog, Jayda, pulled out her dew claw. I was on hold with the Banfield vet at PetSmart and got the idea to ask a manager about doing pet photography. Jessica happened to be the manager. I met with her that evening and I was hired! Around November of last year, after the PetSmart shoot, Jessica called me out of the blue and asked if I was interested in doing wedding photography. I had given a lot of thought to it but not too much seeing as though I’d never done a wedding before. Another long story short, I was hired again! Jeff and Jessica’s wedding is on July 10th and is coming up fast. It was such a beautiful day to take photos for their e-session. My good friend, Stephanie, was second shooting with me. As we were waiting for Jeff and Jessica, I explained we needed to be looking for a silver crossover vehicle. Shortly there after, they rode up on a Harley!!!! I was super excited because they wanted to incorporate their Harley into their e-session! Not only are Jeff and Jessica a great super easy going couple, but they are bad to the bone! check out some of my favs from their e-session.

E-Session Richard and Lori April 21, 2009

Today I arrived in Colorado Springs to visit my mentor, Monica Starr Brown, to begin a week of what we have now started calling “The MSB Workshop.” After I arrived at Monica’s house, we immediately left to pick up someone else Monica is mentoring and meet a couple, Richard and Lori, to do their engagement photos. We had such a great time! The photos turned out very well! This was my first engagement session, aka e-session, so it was a great learning experience to watch Monica interact with the couple and see how she positions them and directs them.
